Departed
Why do our loved ones have to die or is it death that chooses.
If ever there was ever any pain no longer are they struggling;
in knowing this we too must let it go this painful loss and all the hurting.
If it is so that death has chosen them leaving behind us with no reason;
to ponder in our minds;
to feel them in our hearts
so deep that they have touched forever changed us.
Why did they leave?
Where did they go?
How will we live without them?
This love we shared and now we hold expressing
it without them.
The where they be to us as they depart somewhere out there uncertain;
perhaps one day we too will go to join them in the future;
However in the here and now
our hearts we feel that part of them within us
Our love for them will always be
as we remember all the times we shared
the rest we must let go in knowing
that they are safe
and sound and doing well
no longer here but somewhere else they have departed.
